Hi,
Im looking for a great spot on the Murray where I can safely get a van in to spend 4 or 5 nights by a roaring campfire and have the dog and kids run free.
I used to camp at Quicks Beach just out of Barooga but getting a van in there is difficult. So looking for alternatives where there is good river access, maybe a beach and some good spots to drop the yabby nets and hopefully not overcrowded.
Cheers BJAM

BJAM,
Welcome to the forum.
Every year we camp in the Cobram/Barooga area around Easter time. You could try over the border on the Victorian side of the river. If you go over the bridge and turn left along River Road you will find access to many camping areas along the river where sandy beaches and firewood are in plentiful supply.
Further downstream there are also great spots to be found around the Tocumwal area.
Happy camping.

Town Beach, Tocumwal, cold showers, toilets, sandy beaches & short walk to town. Highly recommended.

How busy would Scotts Beach be at Xmas, could we turn up and be assured of a site? Probably after boxing day.
