This huge dust storm was following close behind us as we drove towards Broken Hill on the Barrier Highway. We stopped for a while to let it blow right past us.
Used to see them coming like that in Renmark when I had the farm. Like a solid wall. Drop everything and close up the house/car/anything else that can be closed to keep it out. (including mouth and nose)
November was the time when these were most likely, and also when there was the most violent crime,,,,,,,always wondered if the 2 were related

We learnt when living out west that we had to shut everything up when these beauties were coming. Good photo.

Great photo. One of those that there's no preparing for. Just get out and snap, and get back in! Been there done that, but not as big as this one!

That looks so scary. Reminds me of the gritty dust that gets into everything no matter how tight you try to close it up. Great photo Hams.
