Had a couple of days at Daly River - lovely spot. Would so like to have stayed but I am serious mossie bait these days. Started in Darwin - big welts all over my legs. After 2 days and nights in the van with everything shut tight and running aircon I gave up. Even in the pool they were attacking my head. No spray seems to repel them either.
Good road in once you get off Dorat Road on to Daly River road. I came in from Adelaide River -30km and out on the south Rd 30km. Very narrow, sharp broken edges, and traffic in a hurry - other than me Nice drive though.
Stopped at Sinclairs but felt they prefer long term fishing people. No hot shower until the fire is lit in the afternoon. Some there have been coming for years and stay for months at a time. Camp ground at the pub plus several CP's. New one lane bridge over the river - no sign pointing you to the pub and the old causeway! (turn left before the bridge)

I sympathise about the itchy bites Spida, the NT bities are the worst in the country. Makes life difficult when you want to be out and about.

Pity about the mozzies, they are diabolical creatures to be sure! Especially the one waiting until you are just about asleep....
Glad to hear your travels are going well otherwise, keep on enjoying this wonderful land.
