If it came with a 240V cord permanently attached to the TV, it will only run on 240V unfortunately. If the cord is removeable then it 'may' have a 12V socket on it - it could be located on the side or back of the unit. Good Luck.

Hi Lilly31,
As Hako says if the 240v lead goes straight to the TV it will be 240v only.
If the power lead goes to a "black box" with a smaller lead coming out of it that goes to the tv then you may be in luck.
have a look and get back to us.
The other avenue you have is to run the tv on a pure sine wave inverter. This is a bit of magic that converts the 12volt to 240v.
see how you go

If your TV has a power brick you can possibly run it from 12 V. You will need a power lead like this one You can get one from someone like Jaycar, take your TV with you to get the correct plug on the TV end.

Our tv has a power supply to allow it to run off 240 volts. The output of that is 13 volts but the tv will run ok down to about 11 volts. One thing to be VERY sure about is the polarity of the 12 volts from the ac supply. Make sure you make sure you connect it to the battery system the same way. Usually the center pin is the positive but I have heard of them being reverse. If you have access to a multimeter then you will be ok.
All the best

It would help if you told us the make and model number. A photo of the rear of the TV and the ratings plate/sticker would help, too.
