Yeah, a tad bitter though! The video didn't mention dandelion tea, which is made from the root (I think) and its also claimed to be good for us.

You can buy a product called Symingtons's of Scotland which is Dandelion Herbal Tea. Or some call in Dandelion coffee. It was recommended to me by a Natropath. Was a bit doubtful at first but i quite like the taste of it.
You can buy it in the health food shops and have also found it in Coles in the health food section. It is suppose to be very good for you.

I'm sure you will find some dandelion leaves in the bags of mixed salads from the supermarket. I have added them myself when I find some nice clean ones.

Dandelion Tea is great. A good non-caffeine alternative to coffee. Talking about 'weeds' - my hubby has been using the milk of dandelions and other 'milky' weeds to treat a wart on his arm. It hasn't quite gone yet but it's definitely smaller.

This sounds very interesting. What does a bag of weeds cost these days though?

Being Maori, I like a particular 'weed' called Puha. Commonly known as Sow Thistle. It's probably one of the varieties that Neilnruth are using on hubbys warts. We usually boil up some lamb or hogget 4quarter chops, give the weeds a good rubbing in some fresh water, add it to the chops then make flour and water doughboys or dumplings. You need to rub the puha welll to take out the slightly bitter taste. There are a lot of edible weeds.
Cheers

Happywanderer, you are making me hungry now, I've always got my eyes open in case I see some 'weeds' on our travels

Used to see a lot down in Victoria as wetter and greener down there. Seems to be too dry up here as haven't noticed any at all.

Usually quite a bit on or near farms, but you'd have to be very careful where you collected from, as residual Sprays could be a problem.

Even along the roadside.
