I know the Tardis (MH) is long gone, and that was dads set up ,
and yeah there were times when I got frustrated with it, but I think it was just the way
it was with dad running it ,..
but I still have a dream of my own MH for AD (After Dad) how ever long that will be
and I hope its a lonnnnggg lonnng time ..
I still have the dream of my own motor home of some sort.
but still a lot of working out what I want..
I still thinking of something like the tardis, but how I want it, maybe with a car in tow.
something that I could live in for a few years ,
In my early 40's now and have had my own health problems
so who knows how long we got .
I know I'll have to talk it over with the family at one stage but after 12 years of owning a house,
and being in the same area for most of my life,
will have to think about what to do with rego when its due ie if away from home base
and also what to do about doctor stuff ,
so I'm still here, just dreaming , will it happen ?? who knows....

Keep the dream alive Milo. Everyone needs goals and ambitions to look forward to. I am in a similar situation to you, caring for my 87 yo Mum, who plans on living to 100 !!!!

I love dad, wish he was 30 years younger and had better health so we could do the lap together.. which is what I was hoping for in the tardis, but didn't work out that way..

Dreams remain dreams unless you're determined to make them come true.

thanks guys, for those that live in a motor home permanently how is it?
can you arrange with the caravan park to stay , say like if I want to stay near my family in sydney for 6 months of the year then travel during the summer months or what ever can you do that, pay so much a week for how ever long you want to stay?
also what to do with rego with nsw for when its due , do i have to come back for that? I know you can pay online but not sure about rego checks etc, I may end up towing my little mazda behind, who knows...
so much to think about

its funny, I had a look at a few mh's today just for dreaming at our local winnebago place and as usual they had lots to look at, including the vans with the slide out lounge rooms etc but every now and then they have a slide on unit on a ute, and I always keep liking those, but it will all come down to how things are AD and inheritance etc...
and if i continue to live where I am now, who knows..
and the big appeal for me is the bush, the aussie out back ,kimba,
Ularu , the top end, some places that a normal motor home cant go..
I might not go right into the jungle or anything like that but I want to do some dirt roading..
so as much as I loved the tardis and love that Idea , I think for me the slide on camper idea
might be my way, keep my house and travel when I want.. at least I'm throwing out some ideas..
the pics shown here is not mine, just what was at the yard,
If I get one of these I'll get it with a full shower, toilet set up..
this one had a toilet but no shower..
although this could all change!!

Thanks for the entry in my guestbook, Milo. As to the slide on, it's been kinda locked in because of overgrowth along the drive, so I had a bloke here the other day with a chain saw and other machinery to clear the whole mess. I video'd him doing his Tarzan trick too. So now I'm ready to load the camper onto my little truck - just as soon as a mate arrives to help me with it. Shouldn't be long now! Then I'll have to pluck up the courage to become a test pilot and take the whole thing for a spin - hopefully, a straight spin. When I take the pics and do the whole vid, I'll post it on 'show us your rig'. Poor ol' Bill12 asked me ages ago and has probably given up on me.
BTW, if you click on the Bluey link (left hand column) you'll see the history of my vehicle search and the arrival of the camper.
