this time last year i was camped on the Murray near Echuca.
Struggling for enough fresh water enough power and enough shelter.
Also struggling with the hundreds of people come to spend easter on the river.
Well here i am 12 months down the track.
Plenty of power; adequate water and shelter and a companion as well.
No crowds here either

Sounds idyllic Dawa, you have done so much and found your way. Congratulations. Enjoy your Easter, and watch out for that pesky Easter Bunny.

Yep, all good things come to those who wait, Dawa. The fact that this year is better than the last is encouraging! One small step and all that stuff.

Dunno about the mug being bottomless, but I certainly am. After having all my teeth removed after radiation therapy, and an exposed bone problem with the lower gum which means no dentures until it's fixed, I've lost a stack of weight. So here I am, a mug with no bottom - literally!
What about this one as an avatar?

Hi Dawa, HAPPY EASTER to you. You have come a long way in the last 12 months ....(not in distance)....and I am always keen to read your posts when you do them. I'm glad ya haven't got those dreadded crowds about ya this year....you would be quite good at knowing how to avoid them now. Enjoy your Easter, don't eat too much chocolate...I ate a whole chocolate bunny rabbitt yesterday and it gave me the runs..... Tomorrow I'm gunna eat it's big egg......I didn't know bunny rabbits laid eggs....I bet I'll get the runs again......ha ha ha ha ha .....Sarg.

Great that you are safe and enjoying your Easter.
I am holed up in my little spot all by myself and enjoying the relaxing time.
Hope you have many more great Easters. Surprising how each day is the same as the other once you get away from civilization.
Happy Easter to all.
Regards Brian

What ever you like Garry as long as you are here and you post positive vibes all should be happy.

Sorry about your problems but often they are sent to ensure we enjoy the good times.
I have been lucky with my health but I will crash one day as we cant go on forever.
I propose to slide out sideways yelling "WOW What a ride"
Keep smiling mate you cup will always be full while your still breathing LOL
Regards Brian

When I started out I was still down from heart surgery and other stuff.
Being out here in the fresh air and peace has worked a miricle for me.
Still get tired a lot and driving long distances is out unless I go for a motel or cabin at the end of the drive. After 3-4 weeks 'in camp' I am ready to go again. I pay attention to a good diet and many of the ills I had are receding. ptsd is a permanent fixture
Like Brian i want to go out; worn out;shrivelled up;used up;wringing the last bit of joy and life from every moment yelling......WOW...WHAT A RIDE.

I'm with you, Dawa. No regrets. Take life with both hands and wring every drop from it. I also had other people say to me that being out there on the road living the gypsy life will add another 10 years to my life. Good, I'll take as much as I can get!
