A friend sent me this Net address he purchased the 4.4KVA generator around 3 months ago and is happy with it. Do not know if anything has changed with the company.
PS His is a remore start/stop model, but I do not know which unit if there is more than one Remote Generator.

A couple of them look ok I must admit. The only thing I can say is as they are from an eStore there is no showroom where you can hear them operate. My limited experience with cheap generators is they tend to be a lot noisier than the known brands like Honda or Yamaha. Then again they are affordable aren't they.
Cheers

I would suggest you look very carefully at this company.
I would try to find a telephone number and an actual address for them Confirm all details with sources other than their info.
I bought a mig welder $399 from them and it was faulty.I paid through Paypal so after some months was reimbursed by Paypal.
The addresses given for the reurn of the welder were false and they were the addresses given to Paypal by them for me to return the item.
The last I heard the Courier company couldn't find them and the welder was sitting in their depot.
Also Google them and look at forums re their activities. A wealth of stories out there.

I don't know this brand of generator but I notice the sound level is 53dB which is identical to the Honda EU20i, a very quiet, popular and reliable unit, but 3 times the price !! Sounds like a good buy....

I certainly hope so, it's a done deal.

It also has a 6 hour run time which is good. Be interested to hear your comments on this generator after you have used it. I'm in the market for one myself. Most come from China so it's a matter of looking hard at the specs. and Warranty. A lot of them are very noisy. If I really needed one I'd go for the Honda, but at $1800.00, it's a bit rich...

Yes that's what we thought $1800 ...... I will certainly post comments after we have given it a good run.

Hi everyone,
I have been eyeing off the 3kvA inverter genny in Jaycar. It is rated 3.3kvA max and 3kvA continuous and for $1499 seems good value.
just have to convince mrs KFT we need it.

What ever you buy make sure that you hear it under load. Most ratings seem to show the db level when at idle and when you connect a fridge or aircon the unit will lift you out of bed. Also look at the fuel tank capacity some are only a couple of liters not long enough to recharge a low battery and require an extended cool down period before restarting

Fuel capacity is important. We camped next to someone trying out their new generator and it ran out of fuel before it did the job he wanted i to do. He was going to sell it on line to buy another one after his trial of it failed but I guess he lost some money in the process.

The one we have bought holds 7 litres and shld run continuously on that for 6 hours.

I looked long and hard and wanted an Inverter genny because they are fuel efficient.
They only run at the speed they need to for the load applied.
More load, more speed.
They produce DC and change it to AC with electronic wizardry.
I looked ah the Honda and fell over at the price and I bought a Kipor Suitcase Type KGE 3000 for around £350 instead of £1800 plus.
It is a mirror immage of the honda 3000 unit and when I checked out some of the spares the part numbers were the same as for Honda.
I had a small problem with the spark and I sent it off to be fixed and this was done and was also first serviced for less then £30.
I was told but I do not know if it is 100% that Kipor manufactured some ranges for Honda and they started to sell then under the name Kipor.
The covers are interchangabls as are the controls and looking at them even closely they look identical.
Mine is whisper quiet and starts second pull every time.
Great machine and great price.
Regards.
Mike

Hi I hope ALL generator users are aware that the 240V from ANY portable generator can kill !!
The safety recommendation to minimize the risk is:
Only connect ONE Class 1 device/appliance at any time.
IF connected to the VAN INLET socket ,the VAN itself becomes that ONE Clas 1 device!! The VAN RCD [safety switch ] is not functional with such an arrangement
You may, with a high level of safety, connect mulitple Clas 2 devices
