Doug, I will discuss that with him next week, but these tests were to see if there was anything else going on in my body, so it's probably just as well to go ahead with them. CT scan and can't remember what else.
They were worried that my white cell count was up, but it's often that way. My Gastro Specialist reckons it has something to do with my absence of spleen. I told that to the other 'team' but they just looked at me blankly. How dare I think I know something they don't!
As for the playground Doug, I'll have to discuss that with him too. I know there's a lot of nomads 'out there' who have heart conditions so hopefully, it won't hold me back.

Just thought I'd let you all know that I've had a couple of days in hospital again with AF.
I was much calmer about it all this time. I just rang my daughter and asked if she felt like a run into the PA. Her response was unprintable.
I had a bunch of doctors asking the same questions over and over, until I wanted to just say, just read the blo.dy file!
So they changed my meds, and as it eased, they said I could go home yesterday, even though it still wasn't toally back in normal rythum.
Later in the arvo, a different doctor came and said he worked with Dr H, and he wants to see you before you go home. Now this Dr H is the head honcho and the same one who fixed my Tachycardia in '08, so he really should have been consulted when I was there last month. When Dr H arrived he was very critical of the other 'team' for not calling him in this time or last month. And rightly so I guess. So he ended up changing my meds again, and kept me in for another night for observation after taking this tablet. This morning I was as right as rain, so I'm now home.
The other 'team' had ordered a heap of other tests as an outpatient so I assume that's still going to happen, and I see Dr H again next week.
So that's the latest my friends.

Goodness me Beth, I sure hope you are well and out in the playground real soon.
I would ask Dr H if you need those extra tests ordered by the other team.

Dougwe beat me to it Beth. No point having tests if they're not really necessary. I'd be checking with Dr H. about that too.
Glad you're home again.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Hi Beth, I am so glad that everything is better now, lets hope it stays that way.
I to have a heart condition...about 3 years ago, I couldn't sleep because of a really bad case of "indigestion" I went to the GP about a week later and asked him for some strong antacids in case it happened again. After a battery of tests, they found out I had a heart attack. So now after many Angina attacks I am finally ok, well as ok as I can be.
I'm hoping that playing in the playground will relax me :)

Get arithmia attacks now and again, and the doctors said they might have to give me shock treatment,( No, not a huge bill). What they do is stop your heart momentarily, and it usually comes back to a better rythem. Also, cutting back on the beer helped.Get well soon, Bill

From what I understand Grams, I'm more likely to have a stroke than a heart attack. Either one is nasty, so if I have to have more meds, so be it.
I read about that Bill, but Dr H hasn't mentioned that.
The doctors always ask about drinking habits of course. I don't drink very often, mainly social gatherings...I probably had some with you Bill at my sisters in January...but when I do drink, I'll have three or four instead of one or two as I should. So that will have to stop apparently.
When I told my girlfriend she said 'what's the use of having one glass of Riccadonna!'..our favourite drink.
I rarely drink coffee, or black tea. But of course, in hospital they don't have green tea or camomile, and the caffiene Nazi doctor just happened to come in when I was drinking black tea.
Jeez! Things are getting grim! No man, so no sex, no alcohol, no coffee or tea..and now I have to get fitter and lose weight! God help me!
