Arrived in town this morning, booked into the caravan park, all Ok, very crowded, with the vans quite close together. not sure that I really like this setup, still all a learning curve. I had myself all set up quite quickly and ready to have a look around the wharf area again. Well when I say all set up I have to admit that I was on rather an angle and needed to come back on the straight and narrow again. I was really hoping that when I met up with Ken he would a nice man and assist me. Well guess what???????? He was. We met for coffee and again like so many others that I have met it was like we had known each other for ages. We talked about all sorts of travel things and then I put the word on him, I needed help. He came and had a look and then drove me to umm, to the right shop to buy the leveler thingies. Also a three way level. Figured I would need these things at some point so all good. We came back and after instructions on what to do he had back on the straight and narrow again. All good. I learnt a lot more about different things on the MH, how things should be, what to do and what not to do. Invaluable advise.
We were walking back to the MH, and Ken seen a GN sticker on the back of the caravan, we stopped to have a chat and met up with goodie999 and his partner Joy. A lovely couple, and we ended spending the afternoon with them talking about all manner of things. Turns out their niece (i think), is my hairdresser in Mt Gambier. A very small world. It was interesting listening to their stories of travel and places. All it did for me was make salivate even more, and wanting to get out there like yesterday.
Next time I hope that I get to meet up with Lyn also. I just love this life and now somebody is cooking a BBQ so more salivating to be done. I am about to head into town again to have some dinner. I have just realised that I have had such a good time today I have not eaten all day.

Good for you Sharon, have a great time..............I spent 5 weeks in Echuca or just out of it on a friends property in our van a couple of months ago, it was very hot at times, but I just love the place, could settle there very easily, still have it in the back of my mind as the place I would like to be when we eventually do settle.

Yep, you sure have some serious thinking to do when you get home Sharon don't you. Only one way to stop all that salivating. So do it and stop all that dribble :)

Love Echuca too. After spending over 10 years there I know it like the back of my hand. I read Ken's thread on the General Forum, saw he had helped you with the levels. Ken is a very helpful friend to me as well as many other grey nomads. You won't get any better.
