I get some of those when they're on Special. Other brands as well. Cook some frozen Peas, Cauli., and Broccoli, and add to them, makes a fairly decent meal.
Cheers,
Sheba.

No. It was seasoned just right. I was prepared to flood it with tomatoe sauce, but it didn't even need that !!!

We buy Pizza singles and just add some ham and cheese to make them more of a meal. Also Quiche singles are good and just add vegies or a salad. We've thought about the frozen meals but feel they do take up some room in the freezer. Our other emergency additions don't require freezing. Continental pasta or rice dishes i.e. Creamy bacon cabonara.. add some chopped ham or bacon, add a few extra vegies or steamed vegies on the side. A meal and easy to carry in the cupboard, bacon can be frozen too. Simple!

I find the frozen spag. bol and macaroni cheese from Aldi are a good back up. Usually I find frozen meals have a funny taste but not with these from Aldi'

I keep a packet of macaroni cheese in the van pantry with a small tin or two of lemon flavoured tuna. Chop an onion, add it to the macaroni cheese and cook. Then add peas/corn or chopped carrot and tuna and you have a quick tuna mornay with a sprinkle of cheese on top.

We always have a packet of bacon, pepper and mushroom pasta in the cupboard, add cooked bacon, onion, tomatoes, peas - anything you fancy - good for a standby meal.

I do the same jules. Plus have also found they are now putting out a sealed packet of pre-cooked brown rice. Add some vegies and bacon to this and it makes a nice meal.

Hey Gerty, keep carrying the cans of soup with you. You can make THE most beautiful chicken casserole with a can of condensed cream of chicken soup! Just add 1/2 cup milk to the soup mix, add the chicken and whatever veggies you want, and bingo. Beautiful!

You can now buy twin tubs of pre-cooked, either brown or white rice too. So easy, there are just the 2 serves, so there's no waste.

I use the maccaroni and cheese packets, add extra grated cheese and a tin of Plumrose ****tail Frankfurts. It goes a long way, and you can use half and put it on toast, and have the other half for lunch the next day. Yum.
I have never been a fan of this type of product, but I ate one of these tonight and it was absolutely yummy. Keep one in the back of the freezer....
