Well, getting myself organised to head off for a week in an MH by myself to see if I can hack this lifestyle. I am being kicked out of home so to speak as the painters will be in, so decided to bite the bullet and head off. I have no idea where to except I start out from Melbourne and end up back there. I know I can handle the MH, it is the doing it by myself that is the daunting part, well just a little bit.
I am looking forward to it and will let you all know how I am going from time to time. I think the worst part of the whole trip is that I will have to come home again until my house is sold.
In the meantime safe travels everyone.
Sharon.

I'm sure you will enjoy yourself Sharon. I wont be far behind you. Leaving Tassie March 31, will spend a week or so with friends in Melbourne, then about April 12 I think I'll head up towards Shepparton. First stop will be Greens Lake to see for myself what fuels all the good reports I read in this Forum...

I'll also be interested to know how you fare, Sharon, as I'll be headed off pretty soon. Like you, I wonder about what it's really like. Guess there's only one way to find out, huh?

You'll be fine Sharon. After I bought the Hi-Ace, I had it for about 18 months before I actually did a trip in it, from Rocky to Cairns and back. As soon as I got home though, I was champing at the bit, wanting to go again.
I'll bet you'll be the same.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Go for it Sharon and best of luck. I too will be heading on the 31st out Tassie, heading to Rocky for abit of house sitting, then its the wide open spaces for me.
Taking a backside route at a very slow but look/see pace from Melbourne.
Cheers

Hi Sharon, heading off myself shorty after many months preparation for full time travell . I've probably done 1/2 dozen or so short trips over the last 4 months but when I leave this time my MH will be my only home, its quite scary but also exciting and I hope I like it out there as much as I like the thought of it. Travel safe and enjoy.....

Check out Aysons reserva before you get to Greens - I really liked that spot also, and you can swim in the river there.

Yes, I do have Aysons Reserve on my list of places to visit. I'm looking forward to getting away. Hopefully there will be other Forum members there to meet up with. I intend to post 2 or 3 days before I get to Greens Lake.
