Gday...
Yeah, I know ... it did make me think a bit before putting it up .... but, hey, we got more reason to feel robbed than our septic mates - they got it much cheaper than us.

Ha - had an eight cents/litre voucher from the supermarket - at the diesel bowser the price was $1.59.9 (so got it for $1.51.9) - all well and good - except that the other garages in town had diesel at $1.55.9/litre - so we actually only saved 4cents/litre - that's how I see it anyway!
Don't usually use the vouchers, a lot of their service stations are a bit tight in the motorhome, but it was the most convenient one in town at the time.

I got 'done' at the service centre South of Werribee. Advertised rate was 2c cheaper than what I was charged. The explanation - advertised price is the Truck Diesel at the high flow pump. I used the Vortex diesel which is much better for utes etc but dearer!

Interesting to note that the average price of diesel in the states yesterday was 4.14 a us gal. If you use 1.51 as an average price here then that works out 5.70 a us gal so while we are getting much more raped than our US friends they are catching up quite fast. Especially when you think that they used to pay about half what we do
