We rocked up to the Festival on Friday during the late afternoon to find considerable activity setting up stalls and generally preparing for the event. Reading the information sheet I found that Friday was devoted to the set up and the Peacefest actually started on Saturday at 8.00AM.
Julie had the idea that whilst there were many people at the Festival it may be a good time to put the van up for sale. The items not included in the sale could go into Billeees van and I could set off back anytime without the Hi Ace and possibly even get some refund of the fare. There would be considerable inconvenience so there was not a fire sale but if I could get a good price it would be worth it. So far I have had a few tyre kickers but no serious offers.
There are many stalls covering the usual products but a few set this Festival apart, Meditation, Kinergetic Energy, Labyrinth Spiral, Theata Healing, Reiki and Jasons Aura Drawings to mention a few. Live music started at 1.30PM and has been continuous, food is available very cheaply with a lunch and dinner time nominated. The music went on until around midnight with very loud head banging music at around my bedtime, no worries I took my book to the main gathering area and read by the fluorescent tubes.
How about a free breakfast? I had my breakfast and went to the wash rooms to clean my teeth and was greeted by name and offered a free breakfast. I had some fruit there and relaxed in good company, something about the atmosphere at this Peacefest that sets it apart from other festivals. Today Sunday finishes at around 1.30PM with no activities other than the stalls, ponies, meditation and lunch. We havent decided when to leave and which direction to go when we do. John

Well it is all over now and a group of us moved outside the Lions Ground and parked along the fence, the organizers left a light on and the toilet doors unlocked.
I spoke to Daisy and David the organizers and they were pleased with the event and do intend to repeat it next year.
We had the funniest happy hour last night with everyone contributing although I must say that Billeee excelled himself as a raconteur and had us all in stitches. Most of us are meeting up tonight at Godfrey's Beach, Stanley John
