After traveling across the Nullabor and enjoying the WA west coast I now have to do it all in reverse, Got the news today I have snapped ligaments in my sholder and will require surgery and then quite a long recovery so heading back to Adelaide to have it done and at least have familt to look after the dog and me as I recover. Will have to work out a new travel plan after its all over :(. Not looking forward to the long drive with one bung arm.

Get well soon, Scotty. What a bummer! However, speaking of the Nullarbor, anyone see the last Catalyst show on ABC TV the other night? Fascinating stuff about the huge limestone cave systems under the plain, with equally huge lakes of water so clear you can't see it. SCUBA diving under the Nullarbor. Who woulda thunk? Here's a web site run by one of the photographers on the show, with pics.

Just spent half the day with bloody Drs - Looks like I am grounded for up to 6 mths. Major surgery required to put my sholder back in working order and long hard recovery after that :(

Finaly got a date for my operation - 8/4/2013 - Over night stay in hospital then 6 weeks of physio. Hopefully will be back on the road mid to late June.
Trying to decide on direction to head then, either up the middle from Adelaide or head back over through Vic NSW and Qld to go across to Darwin from there. Will be getting late in the season I guess so the shortest run straight up the middle might be the way to go!

The Vic/NSW campgrounds will have plenty of space at that time of year, so if you have a heater, that might be the way to go. Best wishes for your op, hope it is pain-free and heals quickly.
