It has been good having Patty here since last Thursday, didn't need help with any farm duties but great company and lots of relaxation. Just had the day out in Devonport going mainly to see the Kite Flying Festival but Patty showed me where to free camp in Devonport and have a free shower on Saturday 2nd March afternoon prior to my Tassie departure on Sunday 3rd at 9.00am. Coles Bay Road has a few good camping areas with showers and toilets nearby at the beach front in front of the oval. The second picture is from Burnie Gardens waterfall.
Tomorrow I will be catching up with odds and ends here on the farm, vacuuming, clothes washing and loading up my van because I am expecting Bob and Rhonda back on Tuesday. It has been a very quiet time here but have been able to increase my coaster float considerably and that is important to me otherwise I would not be able to afford the balance due when I return to Melbourne, any surplus will go towards the roadworthy and registration.
All is good here we still have the same number of chickens, budgies and cows. Lots of tomatoes ripening on the vines, no damaged water tubs, no water spillage and my watering up to date. Apart from a slight reduction in frozen foods, bacon, a few small batter covered thingies and a tub of blueberries all is as when I took over. John

"small batter covered thingies"
The above quote was in Johns post, not sure if he would want to know what was under the batter, I had some crumbed sweet breads which he said he tried but disliked, The battered thingies, well I don't know.
All is good on the farm, John has been here for over a couple of weeks while we got away and were able to leave without stressing about our animals, and yes they are all accounted for. Rhonda will be picking tomatoes for a while today while I clean out the camper and then get back into my farm routine.
Thank you John for allowing us this time, much apprecitiated. I am also glad that you achieved your goal.
We leave for the big island at the end of April for three months so will be looking to do it all again.
Bob
PS, Rhonda suggests that the battered thingies may have been chicken nuggets?
