. Hi everyone, In October 2010 we purchased a Golden Eagle Hardtop 18'6 from a dealer at Burpengary Qld.It was installed with a baintech 25amp charger fitted to an AC DELCO 96ah battery. I know its too late to have anything done under warranty but within the first week of owning the Eagle the Baintech charger had died. It took 2 weeks for the dealer & bainbridge technologies ,so i was informed by the dealer that a new baintech would be replaced. Last week after a 3 week trip we came home and unpacked and as i was checking things over in van i discovered the 2nd baintech had also gone kaputt. I dealt with a local battery supplier and decided to switch to a CTEK15 mxs Charger as i now have a 110ah lead acid battery in it. Has anyone else out there had similar problem with a Baintech Charger in any way?? We don't have solar permanently on van but use a portable solar panel and yes one of those sometimes annoying genny's (but think mine is ok) as it is a honda 2kva. ok i feel a bit better now about having a whinge but have learnt a good lesson here and seek further info on the electrical side of things before buying another new van, not just take the sales pitch jargon...
safe travels to all
Cheers crocodile.

Know nothing of Baintech Crocodile, however have had a Ctek 15 for a while and I'm very pleased with it so far, hope it does the job for you.

Despite the Baintech chargers being sold as smart chargers I think you will find they were only fixed voltage power supplies. The one that was sent to me was, I sent it back for a refund. Go for the Ctek and not worry about the other.
