I'm looking to buy a van to go solo in the near future and was considering a Toyota HiAce LWB High Roof but the Hyundai iLoad
caught my eye. Well priced and a reviewer said it may be popular with Grey Nomads.
Anyone here have one or met a fellow traveller with one?
Opinions?
TIA - Bob

A lot of commercial users are going over to the iLoads, not just a good vehicle but also when new have a 5 year warranty compared to 3 years for the Hi Ace. Some taxi owners are going over to the passenger version as well.
Thanks for the quick reply. It seems the NRMA are using them as well. If I get one (or anything else for that matter), I'm keeping it simple with minimal conversions to keep the weight down and maintain good fuel economy. Will keep you posted.
Thanks Sheba, links were ok when I posted them, but of course the post doesn't show up until I log off and log on again later, then for some reason the links aren't clickable anymore......thanks again

Sounds like there are still some glitches Vic. Thought it was funny your links weren't clickable. I've re-posted on the cooking thread. Hope it stays there this time.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Have a look in Helps and Hints in the General Forum Vegemite. The Dog Lady has done exactly that and has explained it well.

Thought I'd just pop in and let you all know I ended up getting a Mercedes Benz Vito 109 CDI XL. 2.1 lt diesel, 6 speed manual. I won't be modifying it as a camper, instead keeping it simple by tying everything down in tubs and leaving myself plenty of sleeping space and room to move. I may even get a small tent with standing room to cook in. I plan on basing myself in Tasmania, probably a flat and do week long trips exploring the Apple Isle. I have about 15 months 'til retirement so plenty of time to plan.

I didn't think I'd have to do this for you, Vic.
