What have you got? Vintage or new? Cast iron or not?
What do you cook in them?

We carry one (an older one I think) but it's ages since we used it. We would cook leftovers or baked beans in it. Or use it as a toasted sandwich maker with meat, tomato and cheese for the times when we have no power. We used it more when we had the kids. It's a double one.

Is it round or square nielnruth ? We had the round ones when I was a child. Don't like the look of the square ones these days. The round ones seemed stronger too.
Wish I could find some now.
Cheers,
Sheba.

I carry two Diablo which can be used on a two burner picnic stove. Also keep two in the house kitchen.
Who carries Jaffle Irons in their rig?

Use shortcrust pastry sheets to make an apple pie with pie apples.

We bought a double cast iron one last year, square in shape.
Cooked a fair amount of things in it, baked beans included.
Would like to give the pastry recipes a go next time though.

Read your post about the Diablo sandwich press and was so inspired that I bought 2 of them. They are wonderful!
Thank you for sharing

Hooray, hooray, hooray. Today I found a round Jaffle Iron, in good condition at one of my local Op-shops. Toastie Toaster brand.
Cheers,
Sheba.
I have the newer square version single and fits in the rectangular door on my choofer.
Hasn't had much use lately with the potential fire dangers but will again soon, my favourite has been banana with cinnamon.
The latest thread by Gary has opened my eyes with new recipes,
