After a couple of nights at Hamilton we set off separately heading for Gordon 35kms south of Hobart Camps6 #133 on the Channel Highway. I did some shopping at New Norfolk and arranged for the redirected mail sitting in Devonport to be sent to St Helens.
Saw the sign to the Botanical Gardens and went there to have a look round, I have posted about the ones in Darwin and Cookstown so I wanted to see what Hobart's Botanical Gardens have to offer. What a magnificent Garden it is, not the most colour in December but majestic trees and water features together with conservatories and a kiosk.
Kept on keeping on through Hobart and took the more scenic route to Kingston via Sandy Bay stopping at Macca's for lunch. Then at Snug where I bought a pair of shoes from Vinnies for $10 brand new two tone suede (definitely on a mission to save up for the coaster). Arriving at Gordon mid afternoon, this is a really nice camping area right on the beach with toilets, water grassy sites and rubbish removal. There is like Hamilton an honesty box system requesting $5 per night per vehicle.

If you get a chance , John, go down to Southport, and down to ****le creek(bay?), its the southernmost road in OZ, and there is a free camp just up the road. There is a beautiful bronze Right whale just at the bottom of the bay.Its was wet, cold and windy when I was there, but don,t let that put you off. Bill

i agree Bill, ****le creek is stunning, good to see the auto censors blocking out the first 4 letters of the places name....very funny. There is some wonderful walks there and I swam and fished off the beach and caught a few when I was there earlier this year...was warm and sunny then though :)

Yeoeleven (John) here is a link to Ebay, This fellow has 3 coasters to sell and in Victoria. This is the first one only, most seem to have Holden 202s. They are not converted however and he seems to want aroung $3000. His number is there if you are interested at all.

Thanks for the link Janette, I have put a deposit on a coaster and will hopefully have enough funds when I get back to Melbourne to pay out the balance.

There also are a few pics you may like to see.
Nice looking unit John. You'll have a lot more room with that one.
Cheers,
Sheba.
Thanks John,
You deserve something special. Hope it works out wonderfully.
