Yep, I am still in my house and not in the big cave below surrounded by fire and the man? with horns.

I have read that the new doomsday is 21/12/12 Trouble is, I wonder which part of the world it will happen in or will it follow the timeline and take out one time frame at a time???

I think I must have been looking the other way too. Oh well, we'll just have to carry on. Anyway I love this earth & travelling around on it & I'll be very cranky if it ends before I'm ready.

I'm a bit sceptical about this end of the world stuff but I think we should start drinking all our booze just in case! Wouldn't want the end of the world to arrive when we've still got some grog left!

I prefer to think they meant the end of a Cycle, not "the World."
Cheers,

The fundamentalists in the 19th and 20th centuries who predicted the second coming and went up mountain tops and waited simply went back down again and picked another date.
A couple of good books around on the subject.

Can't work out why the Mayans just didn't go to the newsagents when their calendar ran out. Would've saved a lot of stress.

I wonder what all the doomsday writers do now - go back and do their research again - once they get out of their therapists office? Frantically make excuses for their mistake. The only one I think was close suggested there would be a lot more earthquakes, eruptions etc leading up to the change of the earths magnetic field when the poles tipped a bit - or is it just that we hear about them more now and there has not been an increase? Someone should find MOthr Nature and chat to her about it all :)

I reckon they must be very sad people to jump on the negative bandwagon. It should be looked on as a positive change for Mother Earth.
