Yep you sure do. I am now home after just over 2 months on the road and it's been hot here in Sth West Gippsland Vic today so I turned on the ceiling fan in the living area, sat for most of the afternoon thinking, geee the fan doesn't seem to be helping, when I looked up at it I noticed it spinning in reverse. Stupid me forgot to take it off the winter setting didn't I. Works fine now.

The good thing about "being in the playground" and especially if ya camp at good locations (like Green's) ..... ya don't need to 'member which way the flamin' fan goes ... ya jest get up outta the shade, wander over to the water and plonk yerself down and git cool
Therefore, the solution .... don't try to 'member stuff .... jest git back on da frog and toad maaaate

Doug, how do you reverse your ceiling fan? We've just had a couple installed, cant see any "reverse" options.

Hi GD, hope all is well over on that lovely coast.
Just above the blades should be a little switch, if you push up or down it will send the blades in a spin in reverse so as to bring hot air down from the ceiling, as heat rises, works well and even better if you remember to change to summer setting in the warmer weather.

Not all ceiling sweep fans have a reversing switch, depends on the type or brand.

Cant find a switch on ours, but very pleased with them all the same. Just that bit of air movement makes all the difference, and no need for expensive R/C air-con like we had at our previous house. Dont worry about your memory Doug, its only a problem when you forget that you forgot!

Speaking of fans though, I must be getting soft. I would have liked a fan in the van at Richmond NSW when it was in the high 30's. I have a small one here that I could fit in there. hmmm
