Smiley and i had a wonderfull time at the Howlong Lions Park onthe southern side of an anabranch of the Murray river at Howlong NSW.It is about 30 odd K west of Albury/Wodonga and inthe actual park area it is off limits to camping but down along the river is ok and there are rubbish bins and fresh water and flushing toilets at the Lions Park end.I caught my first and only Murray Cod there too,we loved it and can recommend it to anyone passing in the area and best of al it is free and the local council doesnt chase you out if you wish to stay a while in fact we stayed for several weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it.
