The new aldi store opened in Tamworth today. It is located in the Centrepoint Arcade which is right in the middle of the main street. The store was packed today when we went for a look and will be very popular. One can only hope the competition has an effect on the other supermarkets in town.
JB HiFI also opened their first shop in Tamworth right next door to Aldi. although they opened a week ago the shop is still very popular.

I haven't bought a lot of stuff from Aldi but I've generally found their house brand items to be as good as the brand name equivalents in the majors.

I think their Casa Bellini brand pasta sauce is much better than anything available in Coles or Woolies - I especially like the basilico one.
