I know it is available on the streets for a hefty price (illegal) but just wondered if it was available for medical purposes on scrip like the USA.

I wouldn't think so Vic - the pharmaceutical companies would be kicking up a stink - or adding something to it that would negate it's medicinal value in my opinion anyway.

Could come in handy for my Glaucoma as it is known to ease the pressure on the eyes.
My mother was suffering from pancreatic cancer a few years ago. Before she died, I was very tempted to get some marijuana for her to ease her suffering as it would definately have less side affects than the drugs the medical people were feeding her.She was quite willing to take it too. She was under care in a home but the only way they probably would have found out was if they took a blood test.
Someday. with luck, the government will see sense.

If it's being used in the US legally, then perhaps it's only a matter of time before they use it here Jules and Jon, people have been saying for years it has medicinal value for several conditions.......one day maybe !
