I think you'll find this section is just for sharing photos - not for guessing where they are. There is a 'sticky' thread in the General Forum called 'Pick this place' which is for guessing where the place is. Why not use that one? It's been going along well for ages.

Every thing and every one needs rules, so let's keep it simple. winners who become arbitrators have to be available to compete at minimum 4 times a day, max of 4 hours. That way people will keep interest and the fun will flow. If you cannot participate within 4 hours, keep your comments to other than winning thoughts. We acknowledge that you may be travelling or sight seeing for long periods but people that want to participate need to have some response that is much quicker than a 24 hr turnaround.
Other than that, the winner gets to provide a new challenge. Above all courtesy and goodwill is required.
Here is one to get the fun happening:-
Where is this 5 star establisment located and what River is it close to.

You are correct Nomad246. We live in Carisbrook, 8 km from Maryborough. They have a restaurant in the complex as well as an Antique place.
Just a little bit of history...... When I was at university in Ballarat doing teacher training, I use to catch the Vinelander train from Mildura ( my home town) to Ballarat. It was an overnight trip. We use to stop at Maryborough station at 4.30 am and the station would sell hot pies straight from the wood fired ovens and coffee. It was such a treat. They still have the ovens in the kitchen of the restaurant but do not use them. It is a beautiful station.

I have never been on a country train any further than Donnybrook so I've never had the pleasure of a hot pie there.
Hi all, Just a quick note to let everyone know that, as neilnruth and Sheba mentioned, we already have a section entitled 'Pick this Place' which is a sticky thread in the 'General Forum'. 'Pick this Place' is a string dedicated to members posting a photo and then inviting other members to guess where it was taken (here's a link to the thread: http://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/t39137704/pick-this-place/ ) I feel it is best to keep just one thread dedicated to this game so we can get all those interested to focus their attention on one spot. I am thus closing this one down. Thanks for your understanding.
