Yep, I don't think my stress level can take much more of it here at Greens Lake. It is real hard work thinking, what will I do next, OH I know, more of what I did yesterday, Not much at all. There is of course, breakfast sitting outside in the sun, lunch by the pool, well lake anyway, happy hour with great people, dinner by the pool, ooops, sorry lake then of course chatting around a camp fire with great people, few enough already. Maybe I will just hang around for another week at least just to see if things improve.

I am so glad Doug is trying out the pool for us all. Please Doug don't buckle under the pressure because I am sure that there are many more pools, lakes, rivers, and puddles that will need your attention to detail and finite reporting. Glad you are all having a wonderful time up there, great spot and great people.
Keep enjoying, and remember to check around the campsites, just never know how far those Wombats may burrow.

Is Greens Lake a free camping area ? I believe it's close to Shepparton. How far ? How long does it take to drive to the nearest Town/City, drinking water and dump point ? Any restriction on length of stay ?

Hi big Gorilla - if you type Greens Lake into the "search" at the top - heaps of stuff will come up re the Lake - anyway it is a huge area, at the moment there are about three topics on it - in "general" and "solos" - with photos - length of stay - till you are tired of it - Girgarre is about 18k away - shop, shower, water and dump point there - or Shep is about 50k, in the area is Rochester, Elmore and Corrop - the area is huge - can get a bit busy on weekends with locals coming out with boats, but they are pretty good, mostly families - there are loos, and water for washing - probably some of the GN members will be there till Easter or thereabouts

It's certainly a dump point for grey nomads, any more and entry tickets will have to be sold at the Corop store,,
The closest toilet dump point is at Girgarre behind the hall, pipes a bit small to loose anyone down tho.
