I am looking at a new lappy, (not another one) there is so much stuff out there, I want one with Win 7, don't like the look and feel of Win 8.

I never used Windows 7 as I was happy with XP. Using 8 seems pretty good to me.
Every program I had in XP works in 8 so far.
Can't get over watching a video and half way through closing computer instantly. Next day press start and video comes on where I was within 2 seconds of pressing power switch.

That's good to know Terry, as I prefer XP too. Which programmes did you have ?

Win 8 works much like an iPad, I don't have an iPad until Della get's fed up with her's and send's it to me
if you have a iPad and like how it works then you would be ok with Win 8.
I like the look of the Toshiba Premium Qosmio , but I have still not had a good look a Dell's latest pooters.

be careful if you do update as you cannot go back to Win 7 without doing a reformat of Win 8 then a complete reinstall of Win 7 and all the programs you now run on Win 7

The interactive side is an option. You can still run a page like XP etc.
All new laptops are now pre-loaded with Windows 8

that Internet Download Manager is a great program, everybody should have it
I kept my old machines on XP. When I upgraded they came with Win 7. The first thing I did was to switch off Aerglass (or what ever it is) and selected the Classic desktop. This made Win 7 act and look like XP.
Purchased an Asuz ultrabook yesterday.
