Due to family changes the farmstay has closed and the farm is now open for self contained campers. There is an undercover BBQ area ,campfire and wood fired pizza oven available. There is a flushing loo on dam water. No other water(free water is available in town) or power(gennies ok) is available. You can park under the trees around the BBq area or out in the paddock about 50 metres away. Pets are welcome but please remember there are still animals around (You are quite welcome to take your scraps down to them). There will be a donation box in the bbq area to cover the cost of the gas and wood. .
We are situated 3 kms from Avoca. From town head out the Ballarat Rd (sunraysia hwy) About 2 kms from town turn left into Mitchell Rd, (currently there is a big blue Farmstay sign on corner) We are about 1 km up the gravel road on the right.Another blue finger sign at the gate.
We are about half an hour or so from Ballarat, an hour from the Grampians and Bendigo, lots of wineries in the area, fishing in several lakes and dams in the area and lots of areas for prospecting/fossicking.
There is generally some one home at all times so it is safe to leave your van and pets so you can explore. (We just ask if you are leaving your fur baby to please let us know before you go out so we can keep an eye on them)

I agree your place sounds lovely. We have put it on our list, it is always good to know places that our Fur Kids are welcome! See you one day in the not too distant future!

We are in Mildura til Sat pm but there is a caretaker at the house. just pick a spot and park up. We haven't mowed the paddock yet so there is still long grass there,( thats the area to the left of the driveway heading down the hill)

We have been here at the Farmstay for the last 5 nights .
A great place to stay , and plenty of things to see and do in the area .
A good town . RV friendly , and certainly people friendly . Great red wine too .
Leaving today , and will be back next time we are anywhere near the area .

Any news on whether this farmstay is still open as I am in Avoca at the moment.
I see it's the same sigil who are now at Seabird in WA, so presuming it's st open I would assume being run by someone else.
