No, none of them. It was definitely on B in B on Curtin FM about 3PM today (6.10.12), it was an Aussie C & W artist and was about a bloke who was a grandad and just retired, all the kids off his hands and was hitting the road, the main theme in the song was "I'm a Nomad" repeated over and over in amongst other wording.
I have sent off an email to B in B so see what that brings, will post it here. If you find anything out sooner please do the same,
I have never heard this one before. A commercial cut in at the end of the song so didn't get to hear the artist. It may have been one song on an album.

I heard this song on a program called "Born in Boots", a WA Country & Western program on Curtin FM, 100.1
It was called "I'm A Nomad" but they didn't announce the singer as they cut into the end of it with a commercial.
I have emailed them to see if they can tell me the name, but don't expect a quick answer as they are staffed by volunteers.
I just spoke with Curtin FM they ran through their playlist but could not find it. Borninboots.com try that and contact the presenter.
Did you here it today?
If you can remember some of the lyrics then try www.lyrics.com
But I did find this

Hi Vic
Thanks for comments and the song you are after is by a local artist Michael Blake (goes under stage name Outback Paddy) called "Grey Haired Grand dad" and is from a 3 song CD called "Cruisin' Down Freedom Road".
Check this link to hear a sample of the Grey Haired Grandad song, the Cruisin is a good one too. About mid way down the page; http://www.outbackpaddy.com/MyMusic.aspx

I think he should have one called "Grey Haired Grannies" as well, a good proportion of these on the road too, partners and singles, not just Grey Haired Grandads......

They are only part songs Doug, but enough play time there to give you a good idea of the songs. Be a good one to drive along to!

I will have to be carefull not to sing along while in my camp shower tent or anyone else around will be entertained by a out of tune person that can't sing if his life depended on it.
