Thanks heaps for that Jules and GD. It sure has been a mixed bag of emotions today and I tell you that for free.
I have had 3 cars cut me off this afternoon while in the bus but no dramas. I put the bus to bed at 6.45pm for the last time.
I didn't escape problems though, I thought I would be clever and put some music on my iPhone through ITunes and something went wrong, the phone has locked up so now I have to sort that out . I have no phone now until it is all sorted.

Thanks Milo but I have tried that a few times and the phone keeps locking up. I will take the phone to the local Telstra Dealer this morning, I took it in yesterday and he showed me how to reset the phone and said the same as you.

Doesn't usually take long to get in the habit of turning over in bed for a while - which gradually becomes longer and longer.
Took me about three weeks I reckon, once I took up residence in the motorhome - now could sleep for Australia, I reckon.!!!

Hi all, awoke at same time as normal again.
I took the iPhone back to the place I got it and the young bloke there hooked it up to his little poota and set things in motion, 30 mins later it's working again. Turns out all software was taken off and didn't want to go back on when updated. His poota sorted it out for me. Nice poota. I lost all data including all contacts. I am not worried about photo's etc but now I have to input all contacts in again one at a time.
Guess what I'm doing this afternoon?????
I must say though, although I really don't like this particular Telstra Shop, only cos it's sooooo busy the young bloke that was dealing with me was very very helpfull to me and a few others he was dealing with while my phone was being sorted.

The phone connected to iTunes automatically and just reloaded all my contacts onto the phone. I'm just testing the phone as a modem as I talk to ya now, it works. Don't ya just love technology.
Now, to get down to this retirement thing.

Yyyaaayyyy!!!! Way to go Dougwe. Now you have all the time in the world to explore the playground. I still wake up between 6 and 6.30 despite having tried really hard to learn to turn over and go back to sleep. I'm now resigned to it and, instead of staggering out of bed to shower and get ready for work, I just stagger out of bed to make a cuppa that I then take back to bed where I read as I sip away happily and think about how I don't have to go to work any more.

As soon as I had the mobile phone back in action I felt a great release of stress. Isn't it funny, I have had a mobile phone since day dot when it was a big brick so that's however long?? I don't know how I would cope without it actually, anyway it is some sort of help when out in the playground if you get into trouble, providing you have coverage of course and that's a whole different subject that I won't get started on.
Just sitting here having a nice green tea and feel "RELAXED".

Doug, I understand the phone thing. I am not a huge mobile phone user but I left it at my parents place on Father's Day and had to wait for two days for it to arrive in the mail (registered) - dad sent it Monday and it arrived on Wednesday. What a relief but I don't know why I was so stressed about it

I guess there's plenty of time for sleeping after you've gone!! I think the best part is that you don't have to hurry anything, just relax and do whatever you feel like doing and enjoy everyday as it comes
Enjoy
