till the big day. Then this time Friday I will be a retired gentleman, well retired anyway. The boss thought it was next week, I soon put her clear. I have been given a nice day charter in the bus to do on Thursday.
Still a few loose ends to sort out and I am still working on that Solar Power for the Avan but now just waiting for the Sandown CV Show in a couple of weeks.
Once I have a way of charging the battery in the Avan when not connected to 240V I'm off until I feel like heading back home for a while.
Arrrrrre, what it will be to be free, Can't wait.

You bet ya jules, remember a while back I was talking about using my mobile phone as a modem for my laptop well, it works just dandy, so no naughty business wombat as I will still be checking in as much as possible. I have now got a inverter to keep the laptop fired up as well.

We can all party this time tomorrow night mate.
I had a lovely day trip today with a great group, we all had a enjoyable day. I will be a grumpy old school bus driver in the morning then a different bus in the arvo then a new chapter in my life book.

Congrats on your retirement Dougwe you will get used to not working, but you can always pick up some work driving busses when you are full time on the road, goes towards some fuel costs.
Take care out there and most of all enjoy yourself, you will eventually say to yourself how the bloody hell did I find time to go to work.

Congratulations Doug. Yes, it does feel strange. I retired (early) in March this year. I still have mixed feelings as I loved my job & workmates. Just had enough of the BS from people running the show. All non-frontline shiny-bums making the rules......... very dangerous! Keep in touch with the important people in your life. Happy retirement.

Good luck for the final workday Doug - hope you enjoy it. It is a strange feeling on Monday when there is no reason to stagger out of bed at an ungodly hour

Hey Doug,
Today is your very last day of work and I hope it is a good one with no hassles for you. I am excited for you being able to plan your many trips out into the playground for wherever you want and however long you want to go. I really hope we get to catch up when we get out there.
Take care
Michelle

Yep I havn't forgotten that dinner BG, you just never know, one day there will be a knock on your front door and when you open it, ME. As long as that meal it's not from "Cafe de Wombat".
School run complete with two preps crying when I told them this morning and the year 12's wished me all the best in my GN travels. One more bus (no kids) to drive this arvo for 6 hours and that's it.
Freeeeeeeeeedom
