Be careful Grey Nomads. Talking to our son tonight and Whooping cough is till going around. He has had 5 kids off his clas this week with it. One girl was tested - positive - and she didn't even have a cough at the time. Scary stuff. He decided to take a course of antibiotics for it too. 6 kids off today.

My 5 month old grandson has been very sick and tested for whooping cough. Thankfully the test came back negative. My dad's wife though has whooping cough. It's quite scarey when you have little baby grandchildren around. I'm going to go to the doctor and get immunised for their sake.

I had immunisations as a child but got the whooping cough a few years ago - very sick for a month or more.
Doctor told me that the immunisation from childhood had worn off.

Gerty, I thought it was almost better and when I asked Dr he listened and said 'no' back on prednisone. Can't seem to improve my 'lung capacity' with just my asthma meds. Hopefully soon..... Thanks for asking though.
