Has anyone experienced what looks like little camera flashes at the side of one of their eyes while looking straight ahead?
If so, do you know what causes it?
I am not asking for a medical or optometrist opinion, just personal experience.....

Yes I have, also a bit like seeing a mouse run across the room when theres nothing there. Last time I went to the optometrist for my 2 yearly test, told him about it. He said I had a slight tear in the retina which we would keep an eye on. Its amazing the little flashes, dashes and movements I see that are not there.

Thanks Marj, I can't see any real shape to these as they are on the side and just flash. I seem to recall seeing an eye specialist about it some time ago, but can't remember what the result was......

Suggest you have it checked as my optometrist thought it could be a retina detaching when it first appended to me about 4 years ago!
It can be dammed anoying at times

Thanks Ginger Man Nomad John,
I think I remember being told something like that, so might have to go back for another visit to my eye specialist, it's been awhile and I had forgotten all about it.
Welcome to the forum and the feedback is much appreciated
