We are so enjoying watching the paralympics in TV... those young people are absolutely inspirational! Their joy just to be there is so obvious its infectious, I keep grinning while I watch!

Yep agree 100% there GD. I saw the 13 year old swimmer take out bronze this morning and she was just so excited, it was her first time there too.

Am watching it now, so inspiring. Just saw a running race, don't ask me what they are called. The Brit "Whitehead" was unbelievable.

Glad I am not the only one who finds the Paralympics inspiring and rewarding. Such a pleasant change from all those overblown egos on display at the earlier Games. These are people who have triumphed over terrible handicaps and deserve every success. Good on 'em and God bless 'em.
Cheers, Tony

Absolutely. Did anyone see the story on the girl Bowman, the horserider. Very sad and tragic. But she is still getting up and out there.

Just watched a young male swimmer I think from Ireland, had no bottom half of both legs and no bottom half of right arm YET swam a POR and PB and won by 5mts. WOW.
Geee and I am in pain for a week if I get a splinter in my finger.
I also think the ABC are doing a good job of showing us all these wonderful people and achievements. Good on ya ABC.
Edit....Oh, he did four laps of a 50mt pool. I'd be lucky to do four strokes in the pool.

Agree with you Doug. This is easier to watch on ABC that the jumping about all over the place that was the norm Olympics. I use the word norm as the lovely girl they interviewed on the panel said that is what they call us.

I'm so P*******ed off. The so-called you beaut Digital Satellite TV is not working, and God knows when some-one will get here to fix it.
I can't watch anything. Would have loved to be able to watch the Para-lympics this year.
Sick in bed, and have had to listen [when I'm awake] to football all day on the ABC. [ I don't like to change the station, in case I can't find the right one again.]
Cheers,
Sheba.
