Just enquiring whether there are many of our Grey Nomads going to attend the festival this year in Milmerran on 6th 7th October.
It will be a great opportunity for a meetup. I know that Billeeee & Jules will be attending and I was just going to book when I saw that there is a discount for booking at least 5 sites together.
All powered sites are now sold out, but we still have non powered sites available. (please emaill or call)
Costs for a non powered site is $50 for up to a 1 week stay.
Group booking discount - $45 when booking and paying for 5 sites together.
The saving of $5 does not interest me as much as having 4 other sites around me with GNs all camping together.
I will duplicate this post on the General forum.

Ill b there..................................heheheheh
I have tried but there is little response either here or the general forum so I will book my site and hope to meet others there.
Will look up Billeeee and Jules on the way there, am thinking that I should be in Charters Towers the first week in September.
Macrossan Park or Fletchers Creek look like good stopovers.

Macrossen is really nice John - heaps of room, and some great characters - look for the old graveyard. Haven't been to Fletchers, but they say it is pretty good. Macrossen is 22k East of Charters.

Fletchers is fine. The facilities are on the north side of the bridge and there are 3 camping areas with a little foot bridge over the river. Lovely spot.

The Queensland Branch of the Avan Club of Australia are also having a rally on the 5th to 7th October (probably some arriving before or staying later) they have booked into the Milmerran Village Caravan Park for the event.
This is a good opportunity for anyone interested in an Avan camper trailer to view the different models and modifications etc if they are in the area.
Please note the club only allows Avan Camper Trailers (A shaped when up) not Avan caravans.

There is a big crowd already here at Millmerran - we came in on Saturday, and there were only about half a dozen of us then, but it is probably two thirds full by now, with the first official day not till Saturday - we sat and watched about 36 vans come in just while we were having a cup of coffee!!
Gunna be a lot of fun - any other GN's here?
