I was goinn to ask the other day, Where did you get it from Jimbo? But then thought I would wait till I'm in the cheap shops and have a look myself. I have been looking for something to hang in the trees to attract all the colourful birds we have around here.

Goodonya Jim, for feeding the birds with proper birdfood!
Have seen heaps of people feeding the birds and other wildlife on bread, which isnt good for them.

Marj! I brought it in a normal pet shop In Gympie the other day....They come in packets of two
Went into Bundy with son today. he had appointment so got him to drop me off at Sugarland shopping mall. I managed to get a large hanging ring of wild bird seed from Big W. Have hung it in the tree, just waiting for the birds to find it now. There's a lot of noise out there so hopefully the first ones are telling the rest.

Great film, have a copy and watch it ofter.
For those who do not know we spent 12 months travelling Australia, birdwatching and photographing birds. Gary broke the national record for the number of birds photographed in a year. It was an amazing trip. Would live to do it again.
He has written a book and is being published at the moment. Very exciting.
Cheers

The birdlife is totally wonderful at the moment and over in the west the wild Flowers are starting to flower and the bee;s are buzzing and the birds are out, seeing more parrots now than when we got here 10mths ago, ones we dont see in the eastern states. There are some really cute little minute ones as well,so life is good..

I buy the blocks from the supermarket. I also have a container of sunflower seeds which I spread on the ground and on the awning roof. The parrots prefer the sunflower seeds. We had them eating out of our hands when we stayed put for a few months. People kept coming to tell us that our pet bird had flown away. They were totally amazed when they found out that they were wild.
Well! I must say Jimbo.Thats an interesting story Can't Wait to hear more
Very interesting Jimbo. Have you found anything that attracts the non feathered variety. Similar to the Nullaboar Nymph perhaps?
Kevin.
Don't Know why but I'm having trouble sending a snap of my Bird Seed gadget hanging from the Van I've already tried it once I'll have another go
