Just leting everyone no if you go from Wilcannia to White Cliffs allow a full day to look around. You can visit, drive through, and be on your way in 15 minutes but you will miss the real town. The road from Wilcania to White Cliffs is sealed and in good condition. This little town need our support.

Hi Stumpy1950
Have been to White Cliffs twice in the past two years and absolutely love it. It has got a lot of character and a lot of history and the people are great. You have definitely got to visit Jock's Place. What a character!!!!
The park at White Cliffs is good to for $20 for power and $1 for a 7 minute shower.
Love it.

We stayed on the mullock heap along the Heritage Trail behind the town. NO cost. But U can still use the showers & laundry at the caravan park, provided you pay. Note: There are no fences around the caravan park, so U can drive thru. There are drop toilets around the Heritage track, so U don't have to camp without this facility. See my free site in WikiCamps.
Regarding animals. There are pigs, goats, emus, cattle, kangaroos from Cobar to White Cliffs. Be ready to hit the brakes at any moment. They were in plague proportions.

Would 2 days do White Cliffs justice. I was thinking of staying at the Pioneer Park - any comments on this?

2 days might be quite enough if its hot and dusty Lamb chop, but a bit longer if you want to look around the opal mines and museum etc plus surrounding areas
