That is so lovely - seen it before - but still makes me emotional. Have a friend - 67 - his wife is in last stages of Alzheimers, he goes to see her every day except Saturday - it is a 50k round trip, down a 4wd track - he had looked after her for the last 6 years at home in a beautiful rainforest setting. She no longer knows him. So sad.

I love this! Dementia's the most awful thing, not only for the victim but for their family, and we never know who its going to strike next. Might even be us! Usually I think jokes about alzheimers are not funny... theres a lot that are in very poor taste.

Really sad. I hope to travel before it happens to me. Bill

So lovely but so sad too.
Our Mum had Dementia for the last 2 years of her life and it is aweful for their loved ones.
But someone told me that it's not aweful for the patient because they're in their own little world, or 'half way over', if you believe in such things, as I do.

What a lovely story, life can be so cruel sometimes. My Mum still had all her marbles when she passed away at 95, I hope I live to the same age and with all my marbles too.
Cheers!

That's great Chris. Our Dad still had his marbles too right up until the day he died at 83.

So terribly true but so sad. My dad did the same thing, just like clockwork till he died suddenly. She may not have known him but she knew he was no longer there to visit. The human brain is an amazing thing isnt it.
Gday...
Cheers - John
