"Woolworths has also changed its music track after 25 years with a new track `Monday, Tuesday Wednesday - I Love You' which was originally recorded in the late 1940's by the Big Band vocalist Kitty Kallen with Lawrence Welk and his Champagne Orchestra. The track was re-recorded by Gossling (Helen Croome) who was specifically commissioned by Woolworths to bring a fresh approach to the track."

I thought Kasey Chambers had the most annoying voice ?, I had ever heard then along comes the Woolworths ad. Good grief , bring back the Normy Coles ad. Woolies advise us now that we can down load the song, year right.!!

Totally agree littledick. I didn't realise it was Kasey Chambers but that ad/song is so annoying! You don't even need to be in the same room and actually watch it, if the TV's on the sound just invades the senses!
No way would I download it!

Ok then I'll be the mug and the odd one out. That's not hard for me by the way.
I actually think it is a very catchy tune. Especially on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Come to me darlin, muma's got ya. Although I spose I should say poppas got ya.

I like Casey Chambers and think she's come a long way and matured, since her days in The Dead Ringer Band.

I think Bill needs some counselling. He's a little bit suicidal.
You are very game Bill. In fact with comments like that you could become game. However, I wish you all the luck in the world finding a woman in the real world with a "mute" button.
My TV "talks" to me all day but I really don't listen to it, unless something really gives me the sh!ts and grabs my attention. I do online surveys and some of them deal with ads, and then I can't remember them either.
And welcome to you Wayne Dwop. Nice of you to join us. If you have a sense of humour, a thick skin and some good ideas you'll do very well here.

Hey Bill, you live on Maggie, isn't that adventure enough for you? When I lived over there, driving to work every day was a scenic adventure. Loved it and would still be there if it wasn't for the cost of commuting. Oh, to stay OT, i don't mind the Woolies ad, there are much more irritating ones on TV.
Cheers!

No Beth, its not her doing the ad, I just never liked her voice and cannot understand how she has won several awards.
I dont specifically watch ads but you cannot avoid them as you say.

While Kasey Chamber's voice used to give me the irrits, she has really grown up and I don't mind it now. I saw her at the Cable Beach concert with the Pigrims and Kasey's dad Bill, Troy Casser-Daly and the fellow who is now her husband. Mum was there too, selling CD's.

Yep - Love Kasey Chambers - saw her in Boonah - sell out concert!!! hahaha!!! (If you knew Boonah you would know what I am laughing at!!) - her Dad Bill sang a song that made me cry, and he gave me a hug after the show. Her husband, Shane Nicholson is a great singer and songwriter as well.

hahaha jules, kinda like when Kevin Borich's Party Boys played at Lemon Tree Passage Bowlo. As soon as I heard the tickets were available I went and bought them and got the first five tickets. Two weeks later when I happen to be back at the bowlo, I asked the bloke behind the counter at the entrance if they had sold many tickets yet? He answered " Only about five I think" They did end up pretty well selling out though.. all of about 150 to 200 tickets. Turned out a great night too.

I think most adds are designed to irritate that way you remember them but then there is the occasional one that's good value, remember the slippery little sucker

You got that right Aussie Traveller. Grab 'em and keep 'em! Any attention is better than no attention. I prefer the down, down ad to the Woollies ad. Good old Aussied rock n roll. The advertorials in the morning talk shows can be agravating. Exercise machines, cleaning gadgets, cooking gadgets, make up, and the one that gets me the most, "acne brand". I thought acne was just acne, but now it has a brand.

Sorry CG, that would be good ole pommie rock... Status Quo are a pommy band.
It seems people either lover or hate KC, no one seems to just like her.
We love her and from contact we have had with her she is really down to earth and caring. A wonderful person
Oh and to stay on topic, that bloody song does tend to stick in your mind
