Called into the Tiaro Memorial Park Camps6 #135 and had a hot shower at the toilet block in the Handicapped location. Quite muddy and uneven in the main area not the best campsite but fine for an overnight stay. I moved on to Petrie Park.
Petrie Park Camps6 #134 is a tranquil oasis on the bank of the Mary River there is little space for camping now and the day area is quite large as is the parking area for boats and trailers. There is a concrete boat ramp and flushing toilets in the day area as well as tables and seats under the trees. The access to the camping area is down and across a concrete runoff with a steep climb at the other side ready to catch the caravans as they bottom on the concrete. The allowed time is 20 hours so one night is all that is permitted but a lovely spot to camp. John
