Well I couldn't sleep could I so I watched a program I recorded during the week as it was new and I like to support new Aussie TV or Movies.
PLEASE, surely the young people at Cronulla where this is supposed to be filmed and with NO actors are not that stupid?????? Sorry to anyone that lives in that area but I won't be watching that rubbish again.
Bring back the Leyland Brothers or something like that.
Oh well "Big Brother" is just around the corner .
Just a thought, maybe one of the TV networks could put a camera down a wombat hole or follow Dazren or Bohemian Gypsy around and film their activities.

they cannot bring back the layland brothers, there is only one left.
Hmmm that's a good idea about the camera down the wombat hole, perhaps one of my cousins would be interested in staring in a program like that, I could not do it cos I sleep in the nude.
BTW there is a lot of c r a p on tv these days.

PS Doug i seen a show on tele the other night, and apparently that show has a lot of ''Actors'' in it especially those 2 blonde plastic filled bimbo's ?? and the Mayor and residents of cronulla are ''not happy''

I agree with the above, very sorry I cannot agree on your comment about the other tv show as I don't watch those sort of programs.

I watched the encore of the first episode of The Shire the other night too. What an absolute load of rubbish. I was gobsmacked, it proved what I had always thought. There are some idiots in this world.

Well, there's always Lara what's-her-name.

Indeed. Watching Lara what's-her-name (very briefly) in the show named in her "honour" reminded me of why John Howard banned firearms.
And wait, The Shire will probably rate its socks off.

And now the taxpayer-funded ABC believes that Australian Story, in the prime viewing time-slot of 8pm on Monday, should devote 30 minutes to the Earth-shattering revelation that . . . wait for it . . . a certain female country and western warbler, formerly married, with a child, now wants to confess to a breathless, shivering-in-anticipation nation . . . are you ready for this . . . that she's homosexual.
Be still my beating heart!
Dear Lord, it made The Shire look like intellectual TV

Oh Dear! You are correct it is taxpayer funded and because of that there is a diverse range of programs. I watched the program and wasn't upset by the content. One didn't have to be Nostradamus to see where it was headed. As the name suggests it is one Australian's story. Although neither homosexual or a particular country music fan I can see where this story would interest a number of people. As you say it is prime time in which case, if you require something more cerebral, I am sure the commercial networks would have something of much more interest to you.
P.S. to Wombat. Where is it that you are still paying a television licence fee? Thought they were abolished in the '60's.

Wombat lives down a hole JM and it takes a while for him to get information plus I don't think he has taken his meds today. He said he did but I don't think so.

Think he might need more than meds. A time machine perhaps. Just dial forward to 21st century.
