Had a few discussions on this lately with some fems, it seems ladies either like or hate beards.
What are your thoughts ladies, poll or post or both?

Well Bill , cant grow fuzz on My Head ,,grow abit on My chin.................
As long as they are tidy and trimmed I do like them. Don't like the bushman style of beard where it looks like they haven't seen town for 50 years.

I'm with you. They should be trimmed and clean!
But, even then, I don't want one near my face- not yours or mine.
I don't like what menopause hormones have done to my "beard"
So my vote - if you must, but make it clean and cared for, but if you want to come romancing I prefer both you and me to be clean skinned.

Some interesting feedback here, for the record I have a full beard/moustache, did try to goatee once but it didn't look right on me. Mrs loves it though, sister hates it!
I thought Yeo looked ok with his, I know he had all different looks at different times according to the pics on his blog......and Billeee.....keep up the humour, you and Grin and Chill make a good pair and give a bit of levity to the forum.
Glad you and hubby like his Gerty, if you both like it that's half the battle!!

I like the look of a well kept beard, 'well kept' being the operative word, but if I was in 'close contact' ...as I have been...I'd rather clean shaven.

I have had a beard for over 30 years and it is trimmed weekly, my family wouldn't know who I was without it, I suppose that could be an advantage but neither would I

My eldest son had a nice goatee for years, but shaved it all off at one stage for a costume party when he was going as one of the Blues Brothers. His wife had never seen him without hair on his face. She found it very weird, as we all did.
He grew it back, much to her relief...he did keep it nicely trimmed...but he had to 'come clean' when a new job required the clean cut look.

I used to have a beard down to my chest (hair), but kept loosing food and knifes and forks, so I cut it off. I suppose the ginger sideburns were a bit of a turn off, but I was popular when I went back to visit rellys in Scotland. You would not believe how many red heads there are there. Bill

Both my sons have the trimmed goatee look. This son when he had his accident and was well enough to work out who he was insisted someone shave him clean. So my eldest son gave him a shave. This was in the brain injury unit. It was only month later when he was discharged and feeling sort of normal he asked who shaved him clean. He hadn't been like that in years and it really didn't look good at all. Well, it was him but he didn't remember.

Not sure about women having beards Billeeeee, I believe some European women come close, might find an odd one in the circus (bearded lady) though!
Your goatee looks ok to me, so does Yeo's, suits you both, not sure it would for me though. Like others have said here it depends on the person, but also the need to take in the views/likes of their partner if in a relationship.

Personally I love a good goatee and moustache, closely trimmed so it looks like a 10 o'clock shadow almost. I find it very sexy. I talked Ray into growing a goatee and moustache about 7 years ago now and he loves it as do I So he would not be without it now lol.

I knew a Greek woman who had a very dark beard. and kept her hair really short - she was often mistaken for a bloke - and used to get upset - but wouldn't get it waxed because it hurt!!!! Know which I would rather!!!
Billeeeeeee still has his neatly trimmed goatee and stach - but Yeo has cut his hair, and shaved his beard - makes him look years younger!!!!!

My partner has had a beard for 35 years, and for a dare, shaved it off last year while we were in NT. The plan was that it would have time to grow again before he met anybody he knows. He hated it, was as embarrassed as if he'd been caught without his pants in public! Thank heaven it grew and now he'll show his face in public again!

I have a neatly trimmed beard or at least I think it it is anyway. I't not just now though after 2 weeks of misplacing my trimmer while I have been away. I did have it but I think I have somehow thrown it out with some rubbish, bugger. (Uncle Al's fault) Still it's only 2 weeks extra growth so not too bad. I'm not tyring to impress the Navman Lady.

Neatly trimmed is preferable to a scruffy bush fuzz. I have issues with "face fur". eg what happens in the moustache when they blow their nose? When they dribble food into the beard, do they save it for later, or what?

I've had a beard since 1967 . Gets a trim every 2 or 3 months , but I haven't used razors for 45 years .
Get offered lots of jobs around Xmas time .
Do women like it ? My lovely lady , and my family do . I don't give a damn what the rest of them think .
