Welcome Seano. I'm sure someone will be able to help you. Sorry it's not us.

I'd strongly recommend a "proportional" type controller. These controllers measure the vehicles deceleration and apply the trailer's (van's) brakes accordingly. I've used both proportional and non-proportional types and I base my comment on this. I use a Tekonsha Prodigy controller and I'm happy with it.

Ditto.
I've used almost every brand and type over the years and the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 & P3 win hands down, followed closely by the Tekonsha Primus and Hayman Reese Guardian (Primus in another guise). Ozjohn.

Any of the four OJ recommended. Don't get caught with a Redarc unit, they are not a proportional one.

Tekonsha should pay us a commission for all the plugs we're giving them!
