Gidday Milo, glad you 'scratched the cub camper'' they are alright for some but i don;t think you would have been happy going up that path.
IMHO, keep dreaming about the A- Van from what you keep writing i feel this is the one that would suit you best, [ BUT i am not you ] and we are all different in what we prefer, dazren

That looks great - and it is about the same length as mine but I like the layout better!

anything with canvas is cold - we had a Jayco Dove then a Cub camper so are speaking from experience (both in WA where the weather is generally warmer and dry) Have been free camped here at Maryborough with some people who were going back to Canberra to trade in there reasonably new Dove for a full van as they found it too cold for winter travel (and were sick of the bedding getting wet if it touched the wet canvas)

Dazren, I just had a look at that van on eBay and the text said in part "1989 WINDSOR WEEKENDER POPTOP
11ft VAN (without a-frame) WITH ANNEX IN GOOD CONDITION"
What do you think they mean when they say "without a-frame"?

The photos of the van on E-bay clearly show an A-Frame on the van.
The 11ft measurement probably is the length of the vans body, "without the a-frame".

When I used my little camper trailer in the winter, I found it warm enough once I was in bed, but I must say I'm looking forward to having solid walls around me.
One tip for the canvas walls, is to put one of those windscreen shade thingys against the walls around the back of the bed. My sister & bil did that all the time when they had their Jayco Eagle.

Even the vinyl skirt thingy around a pop-top has no insulation and you can get very cold at night. Considering an upgrade to a full van now. Be glad you found out before you spent your money Milo/

Did you think about a camper van Milo? I know you have your little car, but you may consider other options which may serve your better and be more versatile. Just Granny thinking. I'll just go and join Wombat in that hole. Hold on Wombat, I'm on my way!!! Do I need to bring anything? Hot coffee thermos, Bundy, anything?
No worries CG all good, I've looked at lots of campervans and there just so expensive and so many k's and old, I won't give up my little car until I'm ready and I know the next one is just as good
I'd give anything to use the tardis more but I feel it may not be around much longer, which maybe happening soon.. Not my choice but you get that
Anyways I do appreciate everyone's support here.
thanks.....

I just picked that add off Ebay to show milo that there is some good cheap vans out there, that won't send him broke, and would serve him well.

Hey milo I have found your camper, it has its own washing machine, shower, solar panels, outside toilet (see white bucket) and it does not need a car to tow it, here's some pics.
These shots were taken at the back of a pub, I think it was in Winton

You'd have to wonder if it's legal, with the 'shower' jutting out like that.
