we have found that our wineguard antenna has made a indentation on our caravan roof and we are going to put some sort of cusioning under it when the antenna is lowered, has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you use?
thanks

Hi Musketeer,
I have a Hybrid antenna made from a Wineguard wind up pole and a Saturn spherical antenna on the top.The guy that built my RV then sikaflexed one of those rubber rings to the roof so the antenna fits perfectly into it.
I am not sure what the antenna for a proper wineguard looks like but maybe cutting a piece of water pipe insulation in half and sikaflexing under the place you need to protect on the roof would work. Maybe one of those 'Noodle' things you use in a pool would do the same. Cut a piece in half and use that.
You would need something that does not soak up water which I think the Noodle thing would be OK for.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
Cheers
Trevor

hi trevor
the noodle sounds a good idea and thats what hubby said as well that it would have to be something that doesn't soak up water
