Why do you think you need all terrain tyres? You only need them on driven axles (of course you fit them all round on a 2WD car as you need to change them around.)

Wouldn't a light truck tyre be more appropriate?

We have 16" BFG All Terrain tyres on our off road van which is an overkill really.
I went down this path so as to have wheels and tyres interchangable with our Patrol ie an extra spare.

We only have 8ply rated light truck, and find them ok . And they are priced under $100.... Bob n Bev.....
