Spent 3 days there and came home this morning, all the usual SG benefits, flat to mildly sloping parking, separate hot showers & full flush toilets including a brand new small block of toilets on oval fence with dump point about to be in service..only waiting for delivery of the bright blue lid to be operational.
Plenty of shade around perimeter of oval complete with water points. Walk to town about 10 minutes and next door to cricket/footy oval. Prince of Wales Hotel in main street serves excellent meals at regular prices eg $14 - 20 depending on choice....I ordered a small rump steak & veggies at $21 and couldn`t finish the meal, just too big !!
SG pricing started at $12pn and is now $14pn for power/water....an excellent jump of point for the mid west sector of NSW eg Dubbo/Mudgee/Coolah/Merriwa/Burrendong Dam or Lake Windemere for fishing. skiing plus all the usual water sports.

G'day Whiteman
thanks for the info, I have been guilty of always looking for a CP when going somewhere. I have never given showgrounds a second thought for camping.
One to add to the list:
