#1.75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half the world population)
#2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is mistaken for hunger.
#3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%.
#4. One glass of water will shut down midnighthunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a Universityof Washington study.
#5.Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
#6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
#7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
#8..Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water you should drink every day?
COKE
#1. In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
#2.You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
#3.To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the 'real thing' sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
#4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
#5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
#6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
#7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.
#8... To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
#1the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.
#2.To carry Coca-Cola syrup! (the concentrate) the commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
#3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean engines of the trucks for about 20 years! Now the question is, would you like a glass of water? or Coke?

Not all Americans like coke though. We once had one who said he'd rather put it in his car engine than drink it. Going back a few years, our young neighbour aged 5, had only stumps of teeth left becuase hi8s mother had given in and let him drink too much coke! At age 5!!

I've seen kids as young as 3 put to bed with a bag of lollies and baby bottle with coke in it. As long as they left mum alone all was right with the world. Oh, they had chicken and chips for tea first. Actually I saw 2 families do this to their kids in the lat 70's. I wonder what they're doing now? I bet their doing it with dentures.

My thick as two planks sister in-law did that with her boys a lump of sugar and a bottle with coke for bed time and she wondered why they were so super hyper active and behind at school Some people should be banned from having kids

Think that sister in law should have had the two planks applied to her person Pete. That poor little youngster will probably have tooth problems for the rest of the time he manages to keep them.
My former Daughter in law should have had them applied as well. All four of my son's children are having problems with their teeth and not just the first ones either.

I found a use for coke,... if you have hypo's (low blood sugar attacks) coke gives such a quick sugar hit, its better than sucking a lolly! Not recommended by the medico's... wonder why?

I only drink Coke Zero when I'm on long drives. I don't drink it at home, and only 1 can a day when I'm driving all day. I'd rather drink water or juice, or iced green tea and lemon.

I don't drink any soft drinks. Much prefer water. Have never liked the gassy feeling it leaves so rather not fill myself with it. I'm sure tastes do change over the years as I used to drink coffee all day after a tea in the morning. Now I only drink tea, normal, green or any of the others, and only have a cappichino if up town.

Caffein also leaches calcium from the bones, but indirectly. The liver produces many substances to deal with the rubbish we put into our system. The substance that the liver produces to deal with caffein also leaches calcium from the bones.

If you type Coca Cola into Snopes you'll find that most of the claims about coke here are not true. Its an urban myth, but Snopes suggested asking a policeman who has pulled you over for speeding if he has used coke to clean blood off the highway... he might laugh long enough to forget giving you the ticket.
