Well, girls and boys, it looks like this is it! Even though it's months away, I can't see it any benefit in waiting to announce it. It ticks most of the boxes.
I've been to inspect, and found it very nice. The photo's on the site are accurate, except the billabong wasn't so full. But I think it'll be full again after out summer rain.
There's plenty of room, a really good camp kitchen with a free gas BBQ. Sean & Katherine O'Hanlon said they would keep the camp kitchen exclusive for us, if there are enough of us. Toilets, hot showers, dogs allowed.
There is only a couple of power points at the shed near the house. There is oodles of space, flat walking tracks andmay even be some yabbies in the billabong.
$10 per adult unpowered, firewood available at $15 per large load.
Only 1 km of unsealed road.
As it's further south than planned, I personally would prefer the meet to be in May, rather than June, as I know it gets very cold there. How does that suit others?

I answered this thread couple of hours ago and the post has disappeared. Maybe I forgot to post reply button.
Sounds good to me Beth. Very convenient location and not far from sons at Biggenden.
I wonder why they call it the 9 mile campground when its at the 6 mile creek??

Thank you for all the effort. I have sent the link to my wife in Brisbane so that she would be able to travel up from Brisbane quite easily, while my grandson and I tow the van down from Gin Gin. Do we have dates yet so Stella can book the leave period, or have I missed the dates proposed in the thread whilst we have been away? We would both love to attend and meet some of the people on the forum. Another adventure to plan for!!!!, ain't retirement great.

Thanks Tim. Well I'm suggesting mid to late May, as it gets so cold in that area.
How does the week of the 14th May sound to others?

Not much of a detour from Kilcoy to Tandur Jonathan.
Then you can go back to the inside of the range afterwards.

I'll still be there afterwards, and maybe my sister and bil will come too. They've heard about you lot and visa versa.
Kiwi-as, I'll certainly see you in early Feb, and I'll bring along my Kiwi mate. If we're lucky, Bill will be here around that time too.

I will probably hang around for a while too. I ended up staying 2 weeks at Greens Lake so I wouldn't miss anyone.

Ditto Marj. I can just see us sitting there by the billabong with our feet up, waiting for other nomads to wander in.
